Epic left-hander breaking in front of the island of Viligilimathidhahuraa (on the other side of the channel of Thulusdhoo). The area is the Northern Atolls of the Maldives. Chickens is one of the longest lefts in the Maldives providing barreling sections. You can reach the wave from the island of Thulusdhoo, by asking one of the local guys to take you there with the boat. It is best surfed with a southeast to south swell direction and a northwest to north wind direction. The spot can get crowded, especially during peak swell seasons, as it is a well-known surf destination. Historically, Chickens got its name because there used to be a chicken farm on the island nearby.
