A legendary place, also known as “Bagni Italia” or “Quercetano”. Located in the village of Castiglioncello, south of Livorno. Its history and name remain somewhat of a mystery, adding to its allure among surfers. The sandbanks move a lot from swell to swell, so the spot is a bit unpredictable. Right-hander breaking on sand, is better suited for mids and longboards (but this depends on the sandbak shape). The best swell direction for surfing at Il Covo is from the southwest, west, and northwest. The most favorable wind direction for the spot is from the northeast, east, and southeast. Sheltered from scirocco. The surf spot is not typically crowded. This makes it a suitable location for those who prefer a more relaxed and happy surfing experience. Enjoy the atmosphere and the landscape. Enjoy breakfast at Millevoglie after your early morning session.
