Swami’s is an epic surf spot located in Encinitas, a city in San Diego County, California. Named after the Self-Realization Fellowship ashram that overlooks the break, the spot is known for its consistent, high-quality waves. The surf spot is primarily a right-hand point break, with the main peak offering long, fast rides, but also provides good left waves. The best surf season for Swami’s (as for all the other spots in the area) is winter, when swells are coming from the North Pacific. The best swell directions for surfing at Swami’s are northwest and west, while the most favorable wind directions are north, northeast, and east. Respect the local crew.
